How to stop the sun? Dear Readers! Imagine lying under a spreading tree in the height of summer. The sun's warmth is pleasant, giving life and energy. Without summer, there is no ripening or harvesting. But if we want the sun to shine constantly, we will quickly find that the earth dries up, and we ourselves seek shade to catch our breath. In management, coaching, and mentoring, it is increasingly clear that maintaining a constant "high temperature" of efficiency and pressure for results leads to overheating: a decline in innovation, team burnout, and a loss of adaptability. Research on transformational leadership and competency development shows that the most effective organizations and leaders operate in a rhythm: periods of intense growth (summer) alternate with phases of reflection and integration (the shade of the tree).
In the article "When an Organization Overheats," the author describes how constantly maintaining a high performance temperature leads to a decline in innovation, staff burnout, and a loss of strategic flexibility—even though "summer" in an organization is necessary and can yield great results.
Alicja invites us to reflect on why a teacher's daily life—full of responsibilities, pressure, and endless tasks—doesn't have to lead to burnout. In the article "How to Keep the Sunshine in Your Work as a Teacher—Coaching Tools for Well-Being," the author shows how simple coaching tools can be used to regain energy, rediscover passion, and nurture one's own well-being. It's an inspiring story about how a teacher's inner light can be protected and nurtured—even in the most challenging conditions.
The article "Spotlining Competencies" shows how professionals often expose themselves to the full sun on social media, gaining short-term fame at the expense of long-term reputation. The author demonstrates how to build a presence strategy that resembles a healthy seasonal cycle, rather than a constant scorching heat.
